US Powerball Lucky Numbers

Did you pick your lucky Powerball numbers yet?

When playing the US Powerball lottery online, players have the option to use their lucky numbers to fill out a form by predefining them in the system. This is very common: players often have their own lucky numbers and use various methods to come up with what they hope will be a winning combination – at some point in time. Some players use familiar numbers like social security numbers, birthdays, ages, et etera, while others may take a different approach and consider the number statistics of past draws.

For example: a player may choose to take the least drawn Powerball numbers over a certain period of time and conclude that, based on the balance of probabilities, a particular set of numbers is way overdue and opt to play with these. Another option is more or less the exact opposite: a player may want to stick with those numbers that appear most frequently in the Powerball draws. On our US Powerball Statistics page, you will find the stats of all the regular numbers and all the Powerball numbers that have been drawn since January 18th, 2012 – the last time the Powerball number matrix was changed. These stats may be helpful in choosing your lucky Powerball numbers. Alternatively, you can let faith decide and use a random Quick Pick to select your numbers.

Numerology

Are you looking for a different way than the option above here to pick your US Powerball lucky numbers? Numerology may just offer you the right option! Numerology, like astrology often associated with the paranormal, is nowadays regarded as pseudomathematics or pseudoscience by modern scientists. It places importance on numbers as auspicious (lucky) symbols, and provides a rather original way of selecting your lucky numbers.

To show how Numerolgy can work, we’ll give you an example of this (pseudo)science in action. Let’s look at the formula to convert your own name into a single digit number. You can use the same formula to ‘calculate’ a single digit number based on a street name, place of birth, or the name of your dog or cat – to name just a few options.

  1. Convert your name. Convert each letter of your name into a separate number. To do this, write out your full name (or address, place of birth, et cetera) and write the numerical position of the letter in the alphabet beneath it each letter. Like this: A = 1, B = 2, C =3, and so forth. If your name was ‘Power Ball’ it would convert to:
    P – O – W – E – R – B – A – L – L
    16 – 15 – 23 – 5 – 18 – 2 – 1 – 12 – 12
  2. Add the numbers. After you converted the letters of your name to their numerical equivalents, the next step will be to calculate the sum of all the numbers. To continue with the chosen example (‘Power Ball’), this would bring us the following number:16 + 15 + 23 + 5 + 18 + 2 + 1 + 12 + 12 = 105
  3. Reduce to a single digit. If the sum calculated in step 2 is a single digit, this step (3) becomes obsolete. However, if the total calculated in step 2 total is greater than 9, proceed to add all the digits together as many times as necessary until you end up with a single digit. In the example, the total of 105 can be reduced to a single digit by adding the three digits together:1 + 0 + 5 = 6

Conclusion: the numerological ‘lucky number’ for the name Power Ball is 6.

Obviously, you can use double digits up to 69 (and 26 for the Powerball number) as part of your selection. So step 3 may actually be obsolete in many cases.

Good luck picking your US Powerball lucky numbers!
